Когда речь заходит о спадах и подъемах, только и разговоров о том, как бы преодолеть спад и пойти на подъём. Вот прям завтра же вытащить себя за волосы из болота инертности, лени, грусти, печали, тоски и ничегонеделания в драйв, позитив и потрясающую продуктивность.
Как будто подъём — абсолютное добро и кайф, а спад — какая-то поломка в мире, состоящем из одних сплошных подъёмов. Как будто никто не может захотеть преодолеть подъём и пойти на спад, скажем. И вообще как будто мир такой вот чёрно-белый, где либо одно, либо другое.
Как человек, недавно ощутивший некоторый подъём после продолжительного спада, должна вам сказать: я скучаю. Преимущества спада, конечно, не популярны и не продаются так хорошо, как атрибуты вечного подъёма. И, конечно, если бы не подъём, не видать бы вам этого текста, который я пишу сейчас, энергично клацая по клавишам, бодро выбирая слова и испытывая невероятный энтузиазм от всего, что напланировала.
Но на дворе осень, пора осенней хандры, холодов и темнотищи. Все только и будут писать о том, как взбодриться, бороться, преодолеть, избежать и победить эту самую невинную хандру, поэтому мне захотелось написать пост в защиту того естественного состояния, которое можно назвать «депресняком», «сплином», «чё-то мне как-то не так» и какие там ещё синонимы. Кстати, мне недавно прислали отличный текст о том, почему плохая погода так доводит до отчаяния и как полезно жаловаться на дождь.
Мне кажется, периоды уныния, бездействия и печали имеют огромный потенциал. Если соблюсти меры предосторожности, то полноценный спад может быть куда эффективнее, чем постоянное изматывающее раскачивание на качелях из дикой усталости, кофеина, внезапных волевых рывков и попыток оседлать тайм-менеджмент.
Весь этот год с прошлого октября я провела в довольно глубокой яме, где изредка случались подъёмы, но чаще друзья слышали от меня: «Кажется, мне нужна ещё неделька, чтобы прийти в себя, потом займусь за то и это». Неделька проходила. И вторая. И десятая. Но я не гнала себя скорей-скорей в новую жизнь, изучала то, что есть.
Конечно, я не желаю вам столь продолжительных периодов упадка сил и тех переживаний, что были у меня. Но хочу поделиться теми способами проживать спады, которые помогли мне провести это время со своеобразным удовольствием.
Психотерапия. Спад, как я себе его представляю, готовит практически неизбежную встречу с собой. Возможно, с таким собой и такими собственными чувствами, с которыми трудно справится самостоятельно, поэтому осень — отличное время пойти к психологу. Для меня каждая встреча с моим терапевтом — хайлайт недели, иногда тяжёлая и болезненная встреча, но никогда не лишняя и не бесполезная. Ну и кто, если не терапевт, в ответ на нытьё о том, что я просто не могу себя заставить заняться делами, встаю и сразу сажусь, заношу руки над клавиатурой и сразу опускаю, чувствую подвиг, когда забираю ребёнка из садика и смотрю сериалы сезонами, скажет: «Кажется, ваш организм интуитивно нащупал восстанавливающий режим и получил то, что ему нужно, чтобы пережить утрату и перестроиться».
Время. Организм, который всё время куда-то гнали, заставляли и принуждали, может немного офигеть от того, что, оказывается, можно иногда просто полежать. И ему может понадобиться чуть больше времени на восстановление, чем беспокойному мозгу. А то и существенно больше. Впрочем, если продолжать игнорировать потребность организма в стремлении полежать, он умеет заболеть, а переживать спад в болезни совсем не так приятно.
Витамин У. Грусть-печаль, если от неё не убегать, конечно, прекрасна сама по себе, но стоит помнить, что осенью организм нуждается в витаминах, особенно в витамине У. Я постоянно нахожусь в поиске и пополняю список того, что восполняет мой дефицит этого витамина.
Уголок поуютнее. Возвращаясь домой с передовой, я всегда представляю себе, что дома меня ждёт не гора грязной посуды, пустой холодильник и пол, равномерно покрытый детскими игрушками, а любимый уютный угол дивана, связанный подругой плед, горячий чай и обнимашки с Ташкой. Самое драгоценное — возможность быть любой, равной себе, не делающей вид и даже вовсе не существующей для всего остального мира.
Банальности, которыми не стоит пренебрегать. Конечно, эта осенняя хандра уникальна и важна, «всё тлен и всё превратится в тлен», но любимую пижаму, шерстяные носки, плед и свечи никто не отменял. В эти непростые периоды мир кажется настолько холодным и равнодушным, что не хочется упустить ни одного маленького шанса позаботиться о своём квадратном метре тепла и комфорта.
«Реальность, данная нам в ощущениях» ©. Раз уж дела всё равно делаются с трудом, и всё как в замедленном кино, то можно уделить неправдоподобно много внимания сущей чепухе. Тому, нравится ли моей коже прикосновение этого домашнего платья, насколько яркий и резкий запах у свежей мяты, сушеного чабреца, гвоздики и кардамона, как ощущается щепотка тмина на подушечках пальцев, как треплются мокрые листья на ветру, с какой скоростью стекают капли дождя по стеклу, какая из кружек естественнее ложится в ладони, согревает ли красная кофта лучше серой, какие цветы лучше справляются, если их целый месяц не поливать, а какие тускнеют и грустят вместе со мной…
Слёзы. Годы психотерапии подарили мне возможность плакать. Много, не сдерживаясь. От боли, от грусти, от злости, от досады, от жалости, от беспомощности, изредка от красоты… Вот дома, когда никто не видит, мне особенно нравится плакать. Если есть желание, но слёзы не льются, мне помогает дневник, книжка, искренний разговор или танец. Так было не всегда, но это другая история, для Года Важных Вещей. А об этих слезах недавно точно написала Мария Рожкова:
Когда минуты злости и обиды позади, когда боль хотя бы на время отходит, когда прогоревал и выплакал всё, на что хватило сегодня сил, наступает то самое облегчение — прямо в теле — первый вздох после того, как ты долго плакал. Ещё дрожащий, неровный вдох — и выдох, вместе с которым уходят из тела напряжение и печаль.
Такое облегчение наступает, когда тебя держат на ручках, гладят по волосам, обнимают, утешают и дают возможность просто быть — переживать обиду, горевать — и никуда не торопиться. Не торопиться чувствовать по-другому, взрослеть и прятать боль в чулане невыраженного. И даже не торопиться к умывальнику, чтобы смыть соленые дорожки на щеках.
Дети это умеют, и стоит поучиться этому у них. Плакать, а потом вздыхать так, чтобы становилось легче.
И, кстати, книжки. Вот в библиотеке Лермонтова в прошлую субботу мы говорили о книгах, которые стоит читать, когда подкрался петербургский (или любой другой) сплин. Художественных и психологических, и о поэзии ещё. Как по мне, во время спада не надо читать вдохновляющее и лёгкое, смешное и светлое. Хотя, конечно, у кого какая задача. Если нужно отвлечься, подойдёт что угодно, а вот если хочется уточниться, углубиться, побыть в своём и найти слова тому невнятному, что бродит внутри, то книжки приятно выбрать посложнее. «Благодать и стойкость» вот отлично мне зашла, Брене Браун новая — пронзительнейшая.
Одиночество. Как Брене пишет в этой новой книге, может показаться контринтуитивным, но когда чувствуешь одиночество, лучше побыть одному, потому что нет ничего хуже, чем чувствовать одиночество рядом с другими людьми, особенно близкими. И я согласна.
Но и общение. Тщательно и любовно выбранное. Пусть не компания, но один только близкий друг. Кто-то, кто, возможно, тоже переживает спад. Кто-то, с кем безопасно раскрывать сердце, кто не причинит больше боли. Кто-то, способный выдержать паузу, посмеяться над смешным, а когда опять защемит грусть, обнимет сильнее, чем эта грусть. Кто-то, с кем можно долго ехать на машине, смотреть на свечи, рассказывать сбивчивое изнутри.
Мне повезло. У меня есть такой друг. И не один. А ещё есть команда журнала, целая компания друзей, появившаяся в течение этого года, принимающая меня и друг друга такими, какие мы есть, с любопытством, добродушием и некоторым даже равнодушием. Нам не нужно друг другу что-то непременно доказать, хоть наши встречи и бывают шумными. Мы не требуем друг от друга ничего и почти друг от друга не зависим. Лучшей компании для проживания спада и не придумать. С ними можно печь печенье, гулять у Невы, греться у камина, хохотать, читая сообщения в чатике, и признаваться, что опять не сделала то, что обещала.
Свет. Тут бы можно ещё много понаписать о прогулках, шуршащих золотых листьях, ярких красках парковых аллей, а потом закончить на светлой ноте, мол, после спада всегда бывает подъём, не отчаивайтесь. Подъём-то, конечно, будет, но я предпочитаю туда не торопиться. У меня другой принцип: выбирать свет. Предпочесть утренний свет даже пасмурного дня — равномерному голубоватому свету экрана в сумерках дома. Прогулку по Ботаническому саду даже в дождь — заключению в любом подземелье. Светлую нетленку классической литературы — мрачной новости. А, может, даже из спада, получится быть для кого-то светом? Мы не обязаны. Просто могли бы. Да.
